Functional Description

The SmartBoom/SmartRow system consists of three components.

• SmartBoom/SmartRow Controller Box

• Raven Cruizer Console or SCS 440/450/460/660/4400/4600 Console (SmartBoom Only)

• Planter Clutches (SmartRow)

• GPS Receiver or Cruizer

The GPS receiver supplies the instantaneous position of the vehicle while the SmartBoom/SmartRow

continually monitors the information from the antenna to create an as-applied map of activity. If the

machine enters a previously sprayed/planted area, SmartBoom/SmartRow determines that the

sections should be turned off.
